What's Coming Up, March 10!

Updated: Jan 2, 2022

Hey, my name is Ashley, your groomer here. And I always want to keep any one up to date and aware of anything happening in my life. So, people mark your calendars! March 10, in just a few short months. I am having double jaw surgery. For anyone who doesn't know, I was born with a cleft lip and palate. And have had serval surgeries growing up to fix things. This is one of last surgeries' left to fix a few things. This is a surgery I should of had done when I was 18 but crazy me being my 18 year old self at the time had enough of prior surgery's growing up and wanted to wait. Now at an older age of 31, wish I would of done it sooner, but well here I am. Getting it done now.

Per my doctor it is a 6 hour surgery, and when its all done my jaw will have a bunch of plates and screws attached to my jaw. They said when I wake I will be in the icu for 1-3 days. I'm hoping 1 day as long as I hit all my marks to go home they said.

But this is a pretty major surgery for me and unfortunately due to the demanding job that I have being on my feet working on your puppies and running around like a crazy person. LOL. My doctors require that I take the time off needed to recover and to make sure everything heals correctly.

I will be having the surgery Thursday, March 10th and will back April 18th. Due to me being out for a bit I am requesting that if you need a grooming appointment before I leave for surgery you make an appointment with me ASAP, and I recommend you make an appointment sooner rather than wait till the last minute as I don't know what I will have available closer to when I leave. I am also suggesting that if you would like a grooming appointment after I return in April from recovery, that you pre book the appointment. As when I return, I want to make sure everyone gets in from when they want.

Please note when I am away, I will not be answering calls on my phone since I won't be wanting or really able to talk for a bit, you know having jaw surgery will do that to a person. You can still make appointments online as my schedule will be there and you can book any appointments for your dog 6 months out. So, you can book a few out if you want. Also, I will be answering text messages when I am away if you prefer to not book online, but please don't be upset if I don't respond right away, I will do my best, but I know the first week or two after surgery will be the toughest for me. And checking my phone often won't be my priority during recovery. So please be patient if you don't hear from me right away if you are texting me about an appointment. Thank you for being so patient with me during this time. I have the best clients. And I know I am very excited to see what everything looks like after surgery and the benefits it will have on my life.
